Privacy Policy

This policy explains what KilowattBros collects when you submit a service request, what we do with it, and — the part that actually matters — who else receives it.

The short version

You give us your contact details and a description of the electrical work you need. We pass those details to an independent licensed electrical contractor who serves your area, so they can contact you about the job. That is the entire purpose of this website. We do not sell your information to data brokers, and we do not distribute your request to multiple competing contractors.

What we collect

When you submit a request form, we collect:

• Your name, phone number, and email address
• The town where the work is needed and the service you are asking about
• How urgent the work is, and any description you choose to add
• The page you submitted from, the page you first landed on, the website that referred you, and any campaign parameters in the URL
• Your device type, browser user-agent, and IP address, together with the exact consent language shown to you and the time you submitted

We do not ask for and do not want financial information, government identifiers, or health information. Please do not include them in the description field.

Who we share it with

Contractors. Your name, phone number, email, town, service, urgency, and description are sent to one independent licensed electrical contractor serving your area, so they can contact you. That contractor is a separate business and handles your information under their own practices, not ours.

Service providers. We use third parties to run this website and deliver messages — currently a database host, an email delivery provider, and a website host. They process data on our instructions only.

Nobody else. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it with data brokers or marketing lists, and we do not distribute a single request to multiple contractors as a shared lead.

Calls and text messages

When you tick the consent box on our form, you are giving express written consent for KilowattBros and the contractor we match you with to contact you at the number you provided — including by automated dialing systems, prerecorded messages, and SMS — about your request.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, telling the contractor directly, or emailing us at [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect work already arranged.

We keep a record of the exact consent wording displayed to you, along with the date, time, and IP address of your submission. That record exists to protect you as much as us.

How long we keep it

Service requests are retained for up to four years, which reflects the record-keeping period appropriate to telephone consent. Consent records are retained for the same period. You may ask us to delete your information sooner.

• Ask what we hold about you, and receive a copy
• Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
• Ask us to delete your information
• Withdraw consent to calls and texts at any time

Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Note that once a request has been passed to a contractor, you will need to contact that contractor separately about the copy they hold.

Cookies and analytics

We use browser session storage to remember which page you first arrived on, so that a request submitted several pages later is still attributed correctly. We use analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not run advertising trackers that follow you across other websites.

Children

This site is intended for homeowners and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we share your information, we will say so clearly rather than quietly revising the text.

KilowattBros is a lead referral service, not a licensed electrical contractor. We do not perform electrical work, provide estimates, or supervise projects. All work is performed by independent licensed and insured electrical contractors in your area. Licensing, insurance, pricing, scheduling, warranty, and workmanship are the sole responsibility of the contractor you hire. Verify any contractor's license with your municipality before work begins.
